Summary
Oversees enrollment goals for international yield: first year, transfer and graduate students. Develops and implements appropriate student recruitment strategies to achieve goals.
Essential Job Functions
- Coordinates international recruitment for undergraduate and graduate students.
- Identifies, develops, and maintains external and internal relationships with educational consultants, national governments, embassies, alumni, current students, secondary schools, and other colleges to promote SMC educational offerings.
- Manages SMC external partners in order to advance success in student recruitment of international students while developing appropriate metrics to measure and predict outcomes.
- Coordinates and monitors SMC representation at international educational fairs, high schools, colleges, and embassies in support of student recruitment.
- Coordinates and monitors SMC representation at community colleges with international student populations in support of student recruitment.
- Builds out a communication plan in Slate for prospective student applicants, parents, advisors, and consultants to facilitate the admissions process.
- Researches, analyzes, implements, and updates the marketing strategy for international student recruitment.
- Supports international articulation agreements for prospective students, including developing commercial terms that are competitive in the current market.
- Creates and fosters an atmosphere of facilitating professional opportunities to improve individual capability and managing performance against job accountabilities, department goals and established SMC, campus and department policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree
- Five years of experience working in international recruiting or other related experience
- Valid U.S. driver's license and passport
- Ability to travel international, as needed
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, Slate
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with territory management, including goal-setting and process reengineering
