Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Program Support Specialist for NJMS- Public Health Research Institute – PHRI. The primary purpose of the position is to provide executive level (confidential, administrative and managerial) support to PHRI leadership. Responsible for the coordination and management of the Public Health Research Institute office. Prepares reports, supports research programs, and manages websites and databases. Coordinates projects, meetings, correspondence, reports, and fiscal procedures for the Institute. Prioritizes responses to inquiries and provides resolution, where applicable. Demonstrates initiative, and exercises discretion and responsible independent judgment, with decision making responsibility under the direction of the Administrative Director. The position requires a high degree of analytical thinking, initiative and independent judgment.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Responsible for the coordination and management of the PHRI office.
Manages specific projects, assigned by the Administrative Director, with great attention to detail and adherence to timelines.
Prepares reports, supports research programs, and manages websites and databases.
Coordinates projects, meetings, correspondence, reports, and fiscal procedures for the Administrative Director.
Prioritizes responses to inquiries and provides resolution, where applicable.
Demonstrates initiative, and exercises discretion and responsible independent judgment, with decision making responsibility under the Administrative Director.
