Job Summary
The Office of Financial Aid (OFA) is seeking an experienced Financial Aid Coordinator who will be a packaging specialist. Reporting to the Associate Director of Fund Management and Special Projects, you will support internal and unit-based awarding projects, proactively build relationships with awarding units across campus, review packaging processes, recommend best practices, and be a resource to help inform and improve unit-based financial aid practices. This role will also help to ensure compliance with federal, state, and university packaging policies and regulations.

Reporting to the Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Office of Enrollment (OEM) division provides campus-wide leadership in executing the strategic recruitment, admission, enrollment, new student programs, records management and student financial support functions for the university.

Responsibilities*
Process departmental award requests and serve as a resource for schools/departments entering their own awards.
Resolve financial aid overawards for students with funding over their costs.
Review and resolve unapplied aid reports.
Review and investigate root causes of existing manual error lists and make recommendations for continuous improvement in collaboration with the Systems team where appropriate.
In collaboration with the Associate Director, build relationships with business partners across campus to strengthen their processes.
Assess current unit-based awarding practices and recommend improvements and additional training offerings and modalities.
Maintain expertise in federal and state regulations pertaining to packaging to ensure compliance and recommend changes, improvements, and efficiencies when appropriate.
Manage unit-based TeamDynamix (TDX) functionality - web-based platform that provides service management, asset management and project management capabilities. Assist with developing and monitoring resources posted in the knowledge base.
Support financial aid item type creation and maintenance, including providing back-up assistance to the lead department-user liaison, adhering to creation parameters, and maintaining clear records.
Assist with other special projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications*
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience.
Two years of progressively responsible experience in financial aid in a post-secondary, accredited institution with an understanding of the structure and philosophy of student financial aid programs and systems.
Strong orientation to reviewing and improving existing processes.
Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to create and maintain collaborative relationships with campus partners.
