Caldwell University invites applications for the position of Instructor in Computer Science. This is a full-time appointment, beginning Spring 2025. Teaching responsibilities include undergraduate courses (on campus and online) in Computer Science and Management Information Systems, including courses in computer programming, and possibly also courses in data structures, algorithms, artificial intelligence, internet and enterprise security, networking and communications, and other courses.



Additional responsibilities include student advisement, assessment, accreditation, and experiential learning oversight. This position also will have significant potential to impact the growth of our thriving Computer Science degree program.



Candidates must possess a master’s degree in Computer Science. Candidates with an earned doctorate in computer science will be favorably considered. Candidates with a doctorate in another field who additionally have an exceptionally strong background in computer science or management information systems also will be favorably considered. The successful candidate will demonstrate practical experience in the computer or data science industry. The successful applicant will demonstrate a teaching philosophy that is effective for all learners including first generation college students and is reflective of the cultural diversity of our students. Teaching experience is required. Candidates must be willing to support the Dominican Catholic liberal arts mission of the University.
