Job Summary
The department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) at Elmhurst University seeks a full-time (1.0 FTE) clinical faculty supervising graduate and undergraduate student clinicians working with clients as well as teaching undergraduate courses (e.g. Speech Sound Disorders, Clinical Method) and participating in department services. This is a 12-month position with fall, spring and summer responsibilities.
Essential Functions
Remain a certified ASHA member in good standing.
Maintain Illinois State licensure.
Complete CEU requirements as required for ASHA certification and IL licensure.
Complete ASHA clinical supervision requirement (2 hours minimum in supervision)
Demonstrate Clinic Essential Functions.
Know and abide by the policies and procedures currently in existence in the Elmhurst University Speech Language Hearing Clinic (EUSLHC).
Write letters of recommendation for students applying for graduate school, as requested by students.
Attend department meetings and retreats and/or review minutes.
Assume additional responsibilities, as determined by the needs of the EUSLHC and department, as negotiated with the department chair and clinic director (e.g., attending open houses, admissions committee)

Minimum Qualifications
Master’s (or Doctoral) Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
Illinois state licensure
At least five years of full-time clinical experience, with previous experience supervising graduate students preferred
Ability to work well with students
Ability to work well as a team member with department members
Excellent oral and interpersonal communication skills
Excellent professional writing skills
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
High degree of flexibility
Preferred Qualifications
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
Employee is subject to indoor work, protected from weather conditions. Work is sedentary in nature and involves exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently/constantly in order to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move object.
