Job Summary
Administers the Teach for Utah and related science and math teaching academic programs by developing recruiting strategies, monitoring student progress, contributing to the program and curriculum design, purchasing, solving related problems and evaluating and redesigning program activities. Collaborates with departments and faculty to improve program outcomes, may manage staff.

Essential Functions
Plans, develops and establishes new programs and conferences to meet identified needs of educational groups.
Coordinates academic and research programs, contributes to, and implements strategic direction, marketing goals and program outcomes.
May direct and supervise staff by hiring, training, establishing goals and evaluating performance.
Assesses the past performance of academic and research programs though program evaluations.
May plan and schedule course offerings.
Serves as advising liaison with relevant departments.
Ensures compliance with Utah State Board of Education endorsement criteria.
Works with students to meet program milestones
Manages student funding and awards

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related area plus three years of experience in budget, grant and program management or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) required. Develops and implements program ideas into successful academic and research programs; demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills also required.

Preferences
Preferred qualifications: Experience with University of Utah academic tracking, application management, and advising mechanisms and systems, particularly those in science, math and/or engineering departments.
