Governors State University welcomes qualified candidates to apply for consideration for the position of Director of Enrollment Management Technology (EMT) is a full-time, exempt position responsible for managing the features of the Governors State University (GovState) student information system related tocommunication and admissions. This includes, but is not limited to, Ellucian/Colleague, CRM/Slate, document imaging (e.g., Perceptive Content), and Webi reporting. Included in this position is development and management of systems for application for admission and admission processing. The Director will also develop and manage dashboards and data reporting to assist Enrollment Management with data necessary for successful strategic enrollment initiatives. This position has responsibility for admissions related to Customer Relationship Management (CRM) including collaboration with University departments to develop and manage campaigns related to the admissions funnel The Director also supervises the members of the Enrollment Management Technology staff with oversight of divisional computing needs. Special projects associated with the Director include but are not limited to, managingsystemsandoutreachforstudenttuitionwaiversandscholarships awarded by Admissions or Admissions affiliates (e.g., Honors Program). This12monthpositionreportstotheVicePresidentofStudentAffairsandEnrollmentManagement and works in close collaboration with the Director of Admissions, Information Technology Services (ITS), Marketing and Communication, Institutional Research and Effectiveness (IRE) and other GovState departments.
Essential Responsibilities
60% Technology Systems (Enrollment, CRM and Webi Reporting)

Responsible for managing the features of the student information system related to communication management and admissions (Ellucian/Colleague, CRM Slate,
Centralized Admission System, and Documenting Imaging [e.g. Perceptive Content]).
Development and management of systems for application for admission and admission processing.
Work with Ellucian support to report and resolve issues and questions.
Develop and manage dashboards and data reporting to assist Enrollment Management with data necessary for successful strategic enrollment initiatives.
Responsibility for Admission related Customer Relations Management including
collaboration with university departments to develop and manage campaigns related to the admission funnel.
Act as first line CRM Slate support for admissions staff and other enrollment stakeholders.
Implement updates and upgrades to the Slate CRM system, train end users regarding functionality changes.
Participate in the CRM Slate e-community and development partner initiatives.
Build various communication plans using campaigns, workflows, marketing lists, and third-party communication systems.
Create and maintain forms within the system.
Work collaboratively with appropriate personnel on maintaining accurate admission and recruitment content in admission related online forms (including inquiry and applications).
Build and maintain data mapping for import/export processes, including Common
Application, ACT, and SAT, PC&U, and NRCCUA, etc. Performs database and import table maintenance.
Create and maintain views, reports, and workflows.
Analyze admissions data from current and previous years to generate reports including disseminating weekly reports. Understanding of fundamental statistical principles desired.
Run reports and views for vendor partners and other enrollment stakeholders.
Update data tables to bridge information from CRM Slate to Colleague.
Perform data integrity checks to ensure system processes are functioning properly,
including email sends and workflows. Correct and troubleshoot issues caught during these processes.
Perform continuous updates within the systems that affect the application entity, events, territory assignments, and available terms.
Assist personnel in the processing of applications, decisions, and supplemental items during peak times (January/August). As negotiated with Director of Admission, provide office coverage in Admission to assist with retreat/meeting office needs.
Create and maintain end-user and administrative training documentation, user manuals, and business process decision archiving.
Collaborate with Academic Programs (Dean’s, Chairs) on development of CRM and application systems and procedures.
Write, modify and update Webi reports related to Student Affairs and Enrollment
Management (SAEM).
Review and make recommendations to ITS regarding additions or changes to the ODS frozen tables to increase the effectiveness of Webi.
Work with VP of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management, AVP for Enrollment
Management, Executive Director of Admissions, Associate Director of Admissions,
Registrar, Director of Financial Aid & Registration Technology, and Director of Dual
Degree Programs.
20% Tableau
Implement and maintain a Tableau instance for Student Affairs and Enrollment
Management.
Work with ITS and IRE when needed to populate enrollment data and match headcounts/credit hours.
Work with data from Admissions, Graduate Admissions, Financial Aid, Office of
International Services and New Student Programs (ROAR) to populate Tableau.
Develop standard reports for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management, as well as the President’s Cabinet and possibly Board of Trustees (BOT).
Train direct reports and SAEM staff on report writing.
10% Accuracy & Privilege and Confidential
Provide accurate and timely enrollment reporting to the President of Governors State University, Vice President of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management, and cabinet members related to new student enrollment and non-census data.

It is critical that all data is validated against IRE and other validated data sources to substantiate accuracy of reporting. Some of the data may be sensitive or protected information based on Federal/State statutes. The Director and department are required to adhere to all applicable statutes. All protected information must not be shared and must be properly stored based on GovState policies, procedures, or practices. The Director will also be provided special access to the ERP, CRM, and other supporting software. This information in many cases will be protected information and require the Director to adhere to all applicable statutes.

10% SAEM Functional Supports
Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate the EMT staff including but not limited to:
Service as chair or member of university standing and/or ad hoc committees such as
search committees or strategic enrollment management.
Assist with onboarding activities for Admission and Enrollment personnel.
Troubleshoot and resolve enrollment issues on behalf of the VP of SAEM.
Ensure university compliance with SEAM reporting.
Help facilitate Transferology database in collaboration with Registrar and Information
Technology Services.
Additional Responsibilities

Effective working relations exist with university personnel. New employees are well trained and
assisted. Management is appropriately informed.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, information systems, MIS, or related field.
Five years of professional experience student information/enrollment systems and/or CRM.
Supervisory experience.
Desired Education and Experience
Master’s degree from a similarly accredited college or university in computer science,
information systems, MIS or similar.
Degree field relevant to higher education administration and/or information technology.
Experience providing technology project leadership in a university setting.
Experience with Slate and Webi reporting.
Project management and ability to meet deadlines experience.
Experience working with both labor and non-labor affiliated personnel.
Evidence of data driven decision-making.
