Qualifications:
Project Management is a 3-unit course that focuses on different aspects of theory and practical knowledge of project management. Project Management plays a crucial role in executing and completing projects efficiently, with an emphasis on the biotechnology industry. This course is designed to provide a theory and applied technical knowledge required to execute projects efficiently. The course will include approaches such as project life cycle, project management processes and an introduction to different areas such as management of project integration, scope, time, budget, quality, communication and project risk. It will also explore project monitoring and controls and tools for project management. In addition, the course will introduce strategic aspects of project management including leadership, and problem-solving.
This course will be taught in person on the Moraga campus on Saturdays from 9:00 - 11:45 am during the 2025 Spring term (Feb 3 - May 25).
In addition to teaching, the instructor is expected to hold regular office hours (a minimum of one hour per week) in order to provide students with support outside of the classroom.
Candidates must have a Master's degree in business, business management, business administration, accountancy, finance, marketing or business education with at least 5 years of experience in project management in the industry. Having a PMP certification would be a plus.
Candidates must reside in California.
The salary range for this position is $7,449 - $10,308 (3 units) and is covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the College and SEIU, Local 1021, available here.
