Qualifications:
BTECH 516 is a 1 unit Career Preparation Seminar course. The goal of this career seminar is to introduce students to professionals from different facets of the Biotech industry, learn about their career journeys and provide them with networking and mentoring opportunities. The instructor's responsibilities are to bring in speakers who can speak to different aspects of the biotech industry and facilitate discussions.
This course will be taught in person on the Moraga campus on Saturdays from 11:30 - 12:30 pm during the 2025 Spring term (Feb 3 - May 25).
In addition to teaching, the instructor is expected to hold regular virtual office hours (a minimum of one hour per week) in order to provide students with support outside of the classroom.
Candidates must have a Master's or Ph.D. in a field related to Biotechnology. Someone who is currently working or has past experience working in the biotech industry is strongly preferred.
Candidates must reside in California.
The salary range for this position is $2,482 - $3,436 (1 unit) and is covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the College and SEIU, Local 1021, available here.
