The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor Position in Computer Science (CS), with a research focus on Artificial Intelligence or related areas, starting in the fall of 2025.
Candidates are expected to have a record of high-quality scholarship and should be able to demonstrate the potential for excellence in both research and teaching. The department values and encourages interdisciplinary research, providing a unique opportunity for collaboration across fields. We also value industry/government experience, recognizing the importance of real-world applications in research.
Requirements:
Applicants must hold a doctorate in CS or a closely related field by the time they are hired. Successful candidates must demonstrate excellent communication skills, have the ability to establish an active research program and be motivated to support the student-oriented culture of the department and UTEP's Access to Excellent Higher Education mission.
