The Department of Medicine, Section of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) in Houston, Texas is looking for a full-time hospitalist to provide nocturnist services in the medical ICU at Ben Taub Hospital on a 7 on 14 off block schedule. We are seeking a clinician and clinical educator at the level of Assistant Professor to help cross cover, admit patients in the medical ICU, and teach medical residents rotating through the medical ICU.

Job Duties

  • Provide medical care to adult patients in the inpatient medical intensive care unit
  • Supervise residents and other learners rotating through the medical ICU
  • Assist with consults and admissions into the medical ICU
  • Renew and meet all required licensure and certification requirements
  • Become familiar with the electronic medical record, EPIC, for documentation and billing
  • Complete all documentation and billing in a timely manner

Minimum Qualifications

  • Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Board Eligible (with plans to complete certification within the first year of employment)
  • ACLS Certification
  • Texas Medical Licensure
