Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The selected candidate will be essential in teaching cybersecurity curriculum, managing the cyber range, and advising the technology student club while closely collaborating with the Director of CyROC.
Established industry experience and continued professional connections
Management of cyber range, virtual/physical systems, aid in summer camps, cyber events
Primary responsibility in teaching cybersecurity with secondary roles to include other courses such as programming, theory, application development and artificial intelligence for undergraduate and graduate programs
Experience in curriculum development
Active research, scholarly activities leading to publications, peer-reviewed journals
Grant writing and management
Participate in recruitment and engagement activities for the school
Significant but not exclusive level of campus presence
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Qualifications:
Passionate, determined and entrepreneurial spirited individual to create and advance our CyROC curriculum to become the region’s most recognized cyber center of excellence
A Ph.D. in computer science, cybersecurity, or a related field from a regionally accredited institution, or will consider a candidate with substantial progress towards completion of dissertation
o OR significant industry experience with senior level certifications and teaching or training experience
Demonstrated research stream and agenda in cybersecurity or adjacent topics
Relevant industry certifications (AWS, VM Ware, CompTIA)
Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous or current post-doctoral experience in computer science (cybersecurity)
Extensive teaching experience in face-to-face or online modalities.
Relevant industry experience
Professional certificates relevant to computer science/cybersecurity.
COMPENSATION:
Salary: $135,000 - $155,000 annually
Salary and rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
