Basic/Advanced Life Support Instructor
Job Description
Summary
The Baylor College of Medicine - Emergency Medicine division is seeking Life support instructors to teach AHA certified life support courses to learners, trainees, and faculty throughout the Baylor College of Medicine institution.
Job Duties
- Instructs learners in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) courses.
- Maintains equipment for all courses above including reporting of non-functioning equipment, troubleshooting equipment, setsup and breakdowns/storage of equipment at each course session.
- Sets up classroom, manikins, and equipment for training and prepare equipment for storage following training.

Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED. Preferred Bachelor’s degree.
- Four years of relevant experience. No experience required with Bachelor’s degree.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS instructor Certification by the American Heart Association.
