The Associate Director of Housing Facilities and Operations is a professional who is responsible for the maintaining full occupancy, providing clean and safe facilities, and liaising with the maintenance operations staff for three residential facilities at Augusta University, housing about 1,300 students. This position with the support of the Director of Housing and Residence Life will develop and implement the strategic plan and annual goals for facility management operations. The Associate Director is charged with collaborating with campus and outside partners, to shape the environment and experiences of residential students by overseeing the maintenance, cleaning, upkeep, and procurement of the housing facilities. The Associate Director is the primary facilities liaison with the University P3 partner Corvias Property Management company. Providing supervision to the Housing Operations Coordinator and the Assignments Coordinator, the Associate Director will develop short-term and long-term maintenance and operational goals for each housing facility using the housing management software StarRez.
This is a live off-campus position.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
SUPERVISION/ MANAGERIAL: Supervises the Assignments Coordinator and Housing Operations Coordinator. Collaborating with University Village Facilities staff and leadership. Provides leadership to staff by communicating, interpreting, and administrating residence hall and University policies and procedures. Maintains a working knowledge of and collaborates with campus departments and community agencies. Approves OneUSG for assigned staff. Completes evaluations with staff to provide effective feedback on performance. Participates in the formal and informal evaluation process. Follow the progressive discipline procedures with staff when corrective action is needed. Provides ongoing training and development for assigned staff. Conduct weekly meetings with University Village Facility Staff to communicate and discuss maintenance/cleaning concerns. Plans, assigns, and schedules work projects and coordinates with vendors for building repairs.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT/BUDGET: Performs administrative duties, including budget/spreadsheet management. Maintaining records, overseeing check-ins, check-outs, and moves, working with facilities, processing work orders, and maintaining building/facility-specific forms. Establish short and long-term yearly operational goals and objectives for each facility. Prepares and submits annual and other reports as assigned. Prepare the annual Major Repair and Renovation (MRR) Funding request. Conduct environmental assessments and reports of each residence hall and communicate any major issues to departmental leadership.
COORDINATES: Reviews monthly performance indicators on completion of preventive
LEADERSHIP: Provides leadership, mentoring, and role modeling for student staff and hall residents. Seeks knowledge and information to develop oneself professionally. Adheres to standard housing and student affairs professional standards. Represents Housing and Residence Life at seminars and conferences. Presents workshops and seminars to staff and students. Investigate complaints from residents, parents, and administrators relating to facility services; take corrective action to promote good customer service relations. Adheres to all Housing and Residence Life policies and procedures. Performs other related duties as assigned. Provide leadership during times of crisis in and adjacent to the residence hall facility and/ or community.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with three years of related experience, including two years of facilities management experience at a college or university
OR
Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field of study and five years of related experience, including three years of management experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree from an accredited college or university
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
KNOWLEDGE
Familiarity with building/construction management
Knowledge of housing facility management
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases
SKILLS
Excellent knowledge and skills in supervisory practices and techniques
Detail-oriented with strong organizational, prioritization, and customer service skills

Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days; Monday-Friday (work outside of normal business hours may be required)
Pay Band: B9
Salary Minimum: $48,800/ annually
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
