Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field or training and work experience at a level which equates to an advanced degree preferred.
Job Summary
The Senior Manager will report directly to the Senior Director of Web and Enterprise Systems and will be a member of the Enterprise Systems leadership team. This role is pivotal in driving the strategic vision for the development and operational management of integrated administrative systems that support the university’s operations with innovative and effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert leadership in the implementation of complex software applications, leveraging emerging technologies, methods, and approaches.
Collaborate with internal teams, university stakeholders, and external vendors to plan and coordinate system upgrades, patches, cloud migrations, and integration projects, ensuring both hosted and on-premise applications remain up-to-date, secure, and efficient.
Coordinate project resources, timeline and tasks for the campus-wide initiative to optimize business processes and information workflows, utilizing campus workflow tools.
Exercise creative problem-solving and sound judgment in developing and deploying technical solutions that meet the evolving needs of the university’s enterprise applications.
Lead efforts to streamline campus forms.
Required Qualifications
Demonstrated experience supervising staff and implementing and supporting software applications in an enterprise environment.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability.
Demonstrated experience working with functional departments to evaluate, plan and assist with process efficiencies through the use of software tools. Ability to formulate, organize and manage changing operational priorities.
Demonstrated ability to evaluate, understand and implement technology solutions to meet the needs of the campus community.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with students, faculty, staff, and outside business and community representatives.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference given for experience implementing and/or supporting Ellucian Banner software products, Oracle DBMS and tools.
Experience working in a higher education applications development environment.
Experience with integrating data and between multiple cloud systems using API’s or other frameworks for seamless data flows.
Ability to guide, lead and develop on-site and remote employees.
