We are looking for a Scientific Writer for creating high quality written scientific documents for funding applications and publications, including but not limited to writing, editing, and proofreading grant proposals, scientific manuscripts for peer review, white papers, and other scientific documents.This position is also expected to search for new funding opportunities and assist with updating reference materials.

As a successful candidate, you will:

· Write, edit, and proofread grant proposals, manuscripts, and scientific documents.

· Increase grant submissions to federal funding agencies.

· Seek new grant opportunities independently and collaboratively.

· Help plan and execute educational courses and workshops.

· Maintain databases and reference libraries for grant funding agencies.

· Assist Director with scientific document projects and institutional grants.

Your qualifications should include:

· Requires a PhD in biology, biochemistry, or other life science; OR a master’s degree with at least three years of scientific writing experience in a healthcare/research/academic environment.

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $39.25 - $60.84 / hour

The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
