Director of Learning and Academic Success Initiatives

The Georgia Institute of Technology invites inquiries, nominations, and applications for its next Director of Learning and Academic Success Initiatives. This director position is an on-site leadership role.

Reporting to the executive director of Academic Success and Advising (ASA) and serving as a member of the ASA and Office of Undergraduate Education (OUE) leadership teams, the director assumes leadership and responsibility for programs and services that provide
academic assistance and promote student learning, with an emphasis on peer instruction
in introductory STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) and other quantitative courses. This position will provide leadership to all STEM peer-learning and academic support programs offered by ASA. These include tutoring (one-to-one, group tutoring, and online); supplemental instruction (PLUS); learning assistant (LA) program; study sessions (e.g., reading days); Tech Prep; and other related peer learning programs for (primarily) undergraduate STEM and quantitative courses.

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include a doctorate in any of the following areas: a STEM field; STEM education field (e.g., chemical education, physics education); higher education administration; psychology; counseling; or another related field. At least five years of professional administrative experience at the assistant director (or equivalent position) level or higher, leading and providing student success and academic support programs within higher education.
