Delivers professional support within a clinical neuropsychology environment by administering and scoring standardized neuropsychological and psychological assessments under the supervision of a licensed neuropsychologist. Ensures precise data collection, documents behavioral observations, and maintains strict adherence to testing protocols. Contributes to research activities, patient education, and the training of externs, interns, and new team members. Does not provide diagnoses or bill independently; all services are billed under the supervising licensed neuropsychologist.

As a successful candidate, you will:

  • Administers a wide range of standardized neuropsychological and psychological tests determined by and in collaboration with Neuropsychologist to evaluate cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functions.
  • Accurately scores and records test results while ensuring adherence to standardized protocols.
  • Documents detailed behavioral observations to aid in test interpretation by the supervising neuropsychologist.
  • Assists in screening patients and prioritizing evaluations based on presenting concerns.
  • Provides patient education on testing procedures and cognitive conditions under the guidance of the neuropsychologist.
  • Organizes and maintains test materials, protocols, and data storage in compliance with HIPAA, JCAHO, and institutional guidelines.
  • Assists in training and supervising interns, externs, and new staff on test administration and scoring procedures.
  • Supports research initiatives and maintains databases for quality assurance and program evaluation.
  • Collaborates with external agencies, military providers, and healthcare teams to facilitate referrals and continuity of care.
  • Ensures compliance with clinical and ethical standards, including HIPAA, CMS, and professional best practices.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Your qualifications should include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, Neuroscience, Behavioral Sciences, or a related field.
  • One (1) year of experience in behavioral health, psychological testing, or neuropsychological assessment (preferred).
  • Experience working in a clinical, hospital, or outpatient setting is highly desirable.
  • Required Courses/Training: Formal training in psychometric test administration and scoring.
  • Current BLS

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $24.40 - $33.44 / hour

The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
